VEILED | STILL (WAITING) LIFE

Thematically focused on windows—whether veiled by curtains or frosted glass—these paintings offer only a fleeting glimpse of the outside world. The curtains, depicted in various cut-out shapes, reveal faint, subtly nuanced silhouettes of external scenes, along with details of roughly cut objects that emphasize the photographic framing of everyday moments.
Here, the themes of loneliness and aloneness, which are not interchangeable, emerge. Cellophane and curtains act as barriers, obscuring the view of flowers, windows, and, by extension, the outside world. The spaces I create are inherently introspective, oriented toward our inner worlds in both a literal and figurative sense, encouraging self-reflection and a deeper awareness of our surroundings.
