STUCK | STILL (WAITING) LIFE

My work is characterized by repeated variations of contemporary architectural motifs, specifically minimalist interiors, highlighting materials such as concrete and everyday household objects—chairs, curtains, lights, and plants. These interiors are often idealized and abstracted.
Rendered flat, my paintings feature minimal elements and no shadows. Even the perspective is deliberately skewed, reinforcing a sense of intimacy and quiet isolation. A central theme of enclosure emerges, indicated by windows that do not reveal the outlines of the outside world but instead dissolve into a void of whiteness. These windows do not serve as a portal to the world beyond; rather, they reflect an inward gaze. There is a lingering sense of waiting embedded within the paintings, as if time is suspended while gazing through the window.
